There is a video tutorial for the first 8 rows available here.
If you want to add your project to Ravelry, please link it to this pattern page.
It’s the most beautiful thing you can see on a rainy, gloomy evening, just as the sun goes to sleep. It is made up of rays of sunshine and minuscule droplets of the most wonderful substance known to this planet, water. It embodies within itself the miracle of the world of colors, showing us that nothing is as it seems. No wonder it has been chosen to symbolize diversity and peace, uniqueness and rebirth.
The rainbow is all these things and more.
Take this pattern and make it yours, create a large and fluffy rainbow for your shoulders or a little rainbow to wear as a bandana. Take it with you everywhere and share in the joy and pride of living on this beautiful planet.
Make it as a gift to a friend who needs to be reminded that they are a special and wonderful human. Make it for your unborn child, make it for anyone who brings joy and love in your life.
The size will depend on the yarn you select and how many rows you make. You can use any yarn in your stash. You will need approximately 750 meters of light to medium-weight yarn – 10-15 wpi. You will find in the pattern the instructions to create your rainbow in any part of the shawl.
If you want to add fluffiness to your shawl, use a lacy companion yarn with a halo and increase the hook size
The gauge for this shawl is not essential, although it is important that you keep even tension throughout the project. You don’t need to add the scallops, but the shawl looks nicer with a border that resembles rolling clouds.
