Did you just discover Tunisian crochet and don’t know what to make?
Here are over 35 Tunisian crochet patterns for beginners that might be perfect for you to try, organized by project type.
If you’re really new to Tunisian crochet, finding the right project to try out can be a real challenge.
So I asked my fellow designers to recommend some of their beginner patterns and I organized them by type.
Now it’s easy to choose something to make based on what you are interested in making, not just what others might recommend, without knowing what you like.
Here are quick links to all the patterns, so you can reach them faster.

About this Tunisian crochet pattern roundup
I’ve tried to compile a very diverse collection of patterns here, so you can dip your toes in with very simple, very quick projects, or larger, but very satisfying patterns.
Of course there are many more out there, but the designers of these patterns have all given their permission for me sharing their photos in this collection of patterns.
I’ve divided them up into categories (use the table of contents at the top to navigate to them) and have provided some details regarding each pattern, so you can decide whether your skill set needs improving before trying out the patterns.
Some come with video tutorials and photo tutorials too, so make sure to check them out (I pointed out this information in each pattern card).
Obviously, I’ve sprinkled in some of my own patterns because initially the whole point of this article was to make a roundup of my own beginner Tunisian crochet patterns, but then I decided it would be nice to add some variety and I’m glad I did.
Now you can explore these wonderful designers, check out their other patterns and sign up to their email updates if you like their designs and would like to keep up with them.
